EXPERTS IN DIABETES EDUCATION AND MANAGEMENT
At ADT, we have both Nurse Practitioners (NP) and Credentialled Diabetes Educators (CDE). Both are very experienced clinicians in Diabetes and will work closely with your current Health Care team.

Our CDE’s are qualified Registered Nurses that have further qualification in Diabetes Education and Management and are credentialled with the Australian Diabetes Educator’s Association. Our CDE’s are also Certified Insulin Pump Trainers for all systems available in Australia. You need an Enhanced Primary Careplan (EPC) from your GP to access a Medicare Rebate to see a CDE.

Our NP’s are also qualified Registered Nurse that are credentialled with the Australian Diabetes Educator’s Association. Our NP’s too are Certified Insulin Pump Trainers for all systems available in Australia.
NP’s have further experience, expertise and authority to diagnose and treat people of all ages with a variety of acute or chronic health conditions. NP’s have completed additional university study at Master’s degree level and are the most senior and independent clinical nurses in our health care system. You do not need a GP referral to access a Medicare Rebate to see an NP.
